It may not seem like it with the mountains of snow all over the Bismarck/Mandan area right now, but spring has finally arrived! We’re hopeful that this brutal winter won’t last forever. (Stay strong, mamas!) We celebrated the arrival of spring doing what we do best: hosting a play date for moms and their kids to socialize together. This morning’s location was Joyhouse Coffee. (We call these weekly events “Coffee & Chat,” or “CNCs.”)

Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s still cold and snowy outside, but the kids worked up a sweat at a local McDonald’s play area. May all your wishes come true today! ☘️

As an official registered chapter of the International MOMS Club®, MOMS Club® of Bismarck offers daytime support for full and part-time at-home mothers around the Bismarck area. We host a variety of social activities each month for moms and their children to attend – suggested by the moms themselves.

Many thanks to one of our members for showing us how to make an easy, tasty, and filling meal from her homeland of Colombia! Arepas con queso can be prepared with meat or chicken stuffing – a great option for breakfast or dinner. (This meal can be seen in the Disney movie Encanto.) We learned that adding pulled chicken makes it Venezuelan. The stuffing we tried today was simply shredded cheddar and parmesan cheese. It was a hit with both the adults and kids. Delicious!

Wow, the holidays were a blur! We hope you were able to have a wonderful time with family and friends. We’re back into a normal routine now and looking forward to some fun events this month!

We had so much fun at a member’s home this morning! The kids played together while the moms worked on a Make and Take Essential Oils craft led by another member. The recipients are going to love these homemade Christmas gifts: Candy Cane Lip Scrub, Bath Salt Ornaments, and Merry & Bright Holiday Room Spray. We are grateful for our mom village to help us pull of these club events!

We had a great play date at a member’s home this afternoon! This month’s play date theme was clay. We read Play with Clay by Jenny Pinkerton, and then used playdough – both store-bought and homemade – to explore various textures and scents.
